Creator Portal
How creators log in, what they can see, and how access codes work.
The creator portal is a self-service dashboard where creators can check their own video performance and earnings. It eliminates the "how much did I earn?" DMs.
How Creators Log In
- Go to your ViewsBase login page (e.g.,
viewsbase.com/login) - The default screen is the Creator Portal — no need to click "Team Login"
- Enter the access code provided by the campaign admin
- Click Access Dashboard
That's it — no email, no password, no account creation. The access code is the only credential needed.
Finding Access Codes
As an admin, you can find any creator's access code in the Creators tab:
- Each creator row shows a truncated access code (e.g.,
demo_...) - Click the copy button next to it to copy the full code
- Share it with the creator via DM, email, or however you communicate
Access codes are auto-generated when you add a creator. They're unique and cannot be changed.
What Creators See
When a creator logs in, they see a simplified version of the dashboard showing only their own data:
Videos Table
- Their videos across all campaigns they're assigned to
- View counts for each video
- Video status (Active, Finalized, Paid)
- Earnings for finalized/paid videos
What's Hidden
Creators cannot see:
- Other creators' videos, earnings, or data
- CPM rates or deal details (the CPM/Cap columns are hidden)
- Deal tier information
- Campaign-level analytics or summaries
- Other creators in the roster
This means you can share access codes freely — a creator can only ever see their own performance.
What They Can't Do
The portal is completely read-only. Creators cannot:
- Edit CPM rates, caps, or view counts
- Reject or finalize videos
- Add or remove videos
- Change their deal terms
- Access campaign settings
- See any admin controls
Security
One Code = One Creator = One Org
Each access code maps to exactly one creator record in exactly one organization. Even if the same person (e.g., @alexcreates) is a creator in two different organizations, they have two separate access codes and see completely isolated data.
- Code
abc123→ @alexcreates in Org A → sees only Org A videos - Code
xyz789→ @alexcreates in Org B → sees only Org B videos
There is no cross-org data leakage. See Roles & Permissions for more on the access control model.
Sharing Codes Safely
An access code only reveals that creator's own data. If a competitor somehow obtained a creator's code, they would only see that creator's videos and earnings — not your full campaign data, other creators, or deal structures.
Multiple Campaigns
If a creator is assigned to multiple campaigns within the same org, they see videos from all their campaigns in a single view. The campaign name appears as a badge on each video row so they can tell which campaign each video belongs to.
They do not need separate access codes per campaign — one code covers all their campaign assignments within the org.
Giving Creators Access
Here's the recommended workflow for onboarding creators to the portal:
- Add the creator to your campaign with their deal terms
- Copy their access code from the Creators tab
- Send them a message like:
"Check your earnings anytime at viewsbase.com/login — your access code is
[CODE]. Just paste it in and you'll see all your videos and payouts."
No sign-up flow, no email verification, no password resets. One code, instant access.
